- Bonnie Prince Billy, Mt. Errie, Espers, The Books, Kurt Vile and more are playing in Asheville, N.C. in mid-August. I nearly tinkled a bit when I read this news on Arthur.
- Alyson Noel, writer of the book Blue Moon (part of the Immortals series that I have never cared to look at) picks the Sonic Youth cover of “Superstar” (originally by The Carpenters) on Largehearted Boy. Meanwhile, on Papercuts, Laird Hunt (his upcoming book, Ray of the Star, is out in Sept.) picks SY’s song “Providence”, alongside a few Will Oldham-related songs. Who wins?
