Emily Blunt was much too quick an actress to play the flat-charactered fashion ditz in The Devil Wears Prada, and her grandiose new period piece, The Young Victoria–produced by Martin Scorsese, Graham King, Tim Headington and Fergie; directed by Jean-Marc Vallee with a screenplay by Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park)–has the potential to allow her a part she deserves. Released in Europe quite a while ago, the love story will finally be shown on this side of the ocean sometime next month. Watch the trailer here.
