Bonnie “Prince” Billy played the Monster Island basement the other night.  I wasn’t there, but Adam Wilson was.  I asked him what he thought. Here is what he told me:

“The show last night [Thursday] was pretty fucking amazing, although sitting on the floor of a tiny basement crammed in with 200 people was rather uncomfortable. But we were basically sitting on the tiny stage. The audience had to stay completely silent because it was un-miked. You could hear the toilet flush. Oldham is a pretty energetic dude, especially with no mic to tether him to one spot. He was hopping all over the place, doing weird stretches while singing and stuff. The songs were really beautiful.”
