We’ve finally come to the point where a reputable literary magazine compares George W. Bush’s prose in Decision Points to Tao Lin’s. Eliot Weinberger in the London Review of Books, linked the writings of the worst president ever to the guy who wrote Shoplifting From American Apparel:
“There are nearly 500 pages of this, reminiscent of the current po-mo poster boys, Tao Lin, with his anaesthetised declarative sentences,”
I’m not sure if this Lin takes this as a compliment or a total insult. But I guess no press is bad press, and if anybody knows that, it’s Lin.
