Jennifer Egan, Jonathan Ames, and now Sam Lipsyte all can say they’ve been hired by HBO to write shows.

According to Vulture, HBO is developing a new comedy created by Lipsyte called People City.   The show is described as focusing on a 25-year-old man hired by an eccentric New York couple to be their child’s caretaker.

If you needed any other evidence that HBO is way ahead of the curve in terms of their commitment to smart programing, I hope this will suffice.
