GARIELLE LUTZ’s newest book is Worsted (Short Flight/Long Drive Books, 2021). Previous books include The Complete Gary Lutz (Tyrant Books) and The Gotham Grammarian (Calamari Archive).

My current favorite book is: Voyage in the Dark, by Jean Rhys.

My current favorite film is: The Dreamlife of Angels (about the coming-apart of a new friendship).

My current favorite actor is: Julie Delpy.

My current favorite song is: “I Know It’s Over,” by the Smiths (Rank live version).

My current state of mind is: torpor.

My current chemical romance involves: watching installments of the Up documentary series by Michael Apted, ten or fifteen minutes at a time. 

My current favorite statement is: “Life goes nowhere from here” (overheard in a dream).

My current mode of transportation is: automobilic.

My current favorite fast food item is: the Burger King Whopper Jr. 

My current workout routine consists of: 1,050 leg lifts, the only exercise I know how to do, though I might be doing them wrong.

My current regrettable decision involves: not following my heart. 

My current hopes and dreams involve: getting an appointment for the COVID vaccine and then getting the shots.

My current projects include: writing a kind of memoir.
