JORDAN CASTRO is the author of The Novelist: a Novel (Soft Skull Press, 2022) and two poetry books. He is from Cleveland, Ohio.

My current favorite things to read is: The Psalms and Walter Pearce’s substack.

My current favorite thing to watch is: Eric Buggenhagen’s YouTube channel.

My current favorite thing to listen to is: “Dean Kissick” by Blaketheman1000.

My current state of mind is: tired, grateful.

My current chemical romance involves: L-Theanine and coffee, which my wife and I call “partying.”

My current words of wisdom are: …I’m thinking about that line in proverbs, “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.” It’s always makes me grin a little.

My current mode of transportation involves: my 2021 Nissan Kicks.

My current favorite fast food item is: [a] Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich (extra pickle). 

My current workout routine consists of: [a] five-day split: chest/triceps; legs; [rest]; shoulders/upper back; back/biceps; [miscellaneous]; [rest]. I usually throw in another bench press session on shoulder day, and have been doing an extra 100 lateral raises each night with 10lb dumbbells.

My current regrettable decision involves: not making/saving more money.

My current hopes and dreams are: to sell a lot of copies of The Novelist.

My current projects include: my next novel, Muscle Man.
