We’re Enjoying the Stylized Cover of Emma Straub’s “Modern Lovers”
Among the books we’re most excited for in 2016 is Modern Lovers, Emma Straub’s forthcoming novel. The cover, from Leah Goren, has just been released, and Entertainment Weekly has a short interview with Straub and Goren about both the novel itself and the process of creating the cover.
A Day for NYC’s Indie Bookstores
Last month, we wrote about some of the interesting things afoot in Chicago for Independent Bookstore Day. It warms our hearts, then, to see that NYC’s indie bookstores will also be holding various festivities throughout the day on Saturday. There’ll be events, signings, a marathon Langston Hughes reading (at McNally Jackson), a film screening (at La Casa Azul), and much more.
