Antony + William Basinski =s “The Life and Death of Marina Abramović”
In other Antony news, he’s collaborated with the avant-garde composer William Basinski to write songs for a new opera called “The Life and Death of Marina Abramović”, a biography of sorts of the Serbian-born performance artist. The piece is a collaboration between Abramović and director Robert Wilson, and it also stars Willem Dafoe. Antony will perform his songs when the opera debuts next July at the Lowry in Manchester, England, as part of the Manchester International Festival. (Via Pitchfork)
