Just short of the headline “Blake Butler to write screenplay for David Lynch” or “Cormac McCarthy and David Cronenberg teaming up,” I’m just going to say that Darren Aronofsky directing the pilot of Michael Chabon’s HBO drama Hobgoblin, is the sweetest director/author tag team I’ve heard of since…I don’t know when.

I’m going to go find a place to weep.
