ROBERT VAUGHAN is the author of six poetry, fiction and cross-genre writing books, including Addicts & Basements (Civil Coping Mechanisms, 2014), a collaboration of stories with Kathy Fish entitled RIFT (Unknown Press, 2015), FUNHOUSE (Unknown Press, 2016), and Askew (Cowboy Jamboree Press, 2022). He teaches writing retreats at Mabel Dodge Luhan House in Taos, NM, and Synergia Ranch outside of Santa Fe, NM, and is Editor-In-Chief of the literary journal Bending Genres.

My current favorite thing to read is: anything hybrid, like Diane Seuss, Nate Lippens, Garielle Lutz, Lidia Yuknavitch, or Meg Tuite.

My current favorite thing to watch is: Sex Education. It addresses EVERYTHING in our modern landscape in terms of sexuality, gender, race, phobias, sex and more.

My current favorite thing to listen to is: Bill Callahan’s “The Breeze.”

 My current state of mind is: BRING IT ON!!!

My current chemical romance involves: red wine.

My current words of wisdom are: [to] be your authentic self (selves) to whatever degree is possible.

My current mode of transportation involves: training wheels.

My current favorite fast food item is: pizza.

My current workout routine consists of: a peloton bike and roller blades.

My current regrettable decision involves: buying books I might never have time to read.

My current hopes and dreams are: …I’m already living it.

My current hobbies include: ideas for this book launch, AWP, readings, etc.
