Art of the 1920s hits the Cleveland Museum, and Huffington Post has a slideshow for it. The Millions has put together a great Alice Munro primer for beginners. Rosie Schaap talks pepper vodka. Fifty years of James Bond style. Some great photos of Brooklyn gangs of the 1950s at Flavorwire. Jason on the latest record in the long Ian Svenonius discography. Follow Vol. 1 Brooklyn on Twitter, Facebook, Google + and our Tumblr.
One of the few rules I live by is that anything involving Ian Svenonius is going to be good. The guy has never been in a bad band and he dresses better than just about anybody on the planet.
You can talk bad all you want about bands reuniting, but there will be no smack talked about The Make-Up reuniting to play All Tomorrow’s Parties in May. The only thing you can possibly get upset about is that you have to travel to England to see it.
