I’m not allowed to quote my advanced copy of Gary Shteyngart’s forthcoming book, Super Sad True Love Story, but I can tell you this: it’s about a middle-aged, overweight Jewish man in a dystopian future where everybody is too occupied with social media to realize that their living through Shteyngart’s version of 1984.
