Metropolis Coffee Gets Literary

Things we like over here at Vol.1 Brooklyn include coffee, Chicago, and literary references. The fact that Metropolis Coffee has come up with a coffee blend named for Jaroslav Hašek’s The Good Soldier Schweik — well, that’s hard to beat. One can only hope that this will lead to numerous coffee roasters seeking to name coffees for beloved cult authors and their works. In 2014, perhaps we’ll all be able to sit down for a cup of, I don’t know, Stumptown’s Wittgenstein’s Mistress Blend or Ritual’s Gerald Murnane Espresso. (Or perhaps not.)
