We’re calling it now: 2013 is going to be a good year for crime fiction. The year’s already brought the announcement of the J. David Osborne-edited Broken River Press — and if Osborne’s own Low Down Death Right Easy is any indication of Broken River’s aesthetic, we’re eager to see what results.

And now Chicago’s Curbside Splendor has announced Dark House Press. Edited by Richard Thomas, this imprint will publish “neo-noir, speculative novels and short story collections with a literary bent.” Intrigued? We certainly are.
