ELLE NASH is the author of Animals Eat Each Other (Dzanc Books, 2018), a novel hailed by Publishers Weekly as a “complex, impressive exploration of obsession and desire,” and Nudes (Short Flight/Long Drive, 2021), a story collection. She is a founding editor of Witch Craft Magazine and a fiction editor at both Hobart and Expat Literary Journal. Her latest book, Gag Reflex, is forthcoming from CLASH Books. 

My current favorite thing to read is: bell hooks, All About Love.

My current favorite thing to watch is: Great British Menu. My brain is smoothed by gourmet cooking

My current favorite thing to listen to is: the absolute raging banger of agonizing screams inside my head.

 My current state of mind: oscillates between the euphoric bliss of escape and the crushing weight of my poisoned past.

My current chemical romance involves: pedicures, cute socks and indie lit drama.

My current words of wisdom: using the dead to further your message is what politicians do.

My current mode of transportation involves: adidas platform Samba.

My current least fast food item is: a latte from Gregg’s.

My current workout routine consists of: dry heaving in the bathroom, running to catch the train, carrying my toddler around the city because she’s too lazy to walk. 

My current regrettable decision involves: …I reserve this kind of content for my fiction, Brian.

My current hopes and dreams are: to never have to live in the United States ever again, and I dream of a life of less struggle for my daughter.

My current hobbies/projects include: anxiously picking the skin at my lips, waking up at 4am to try to write, zoning out while I contemplate why serial killers do that, drinking coffee all day, writing and deleting the same tweet 10 times before saving it to drafts for two months.
